Postgraduate Physician Assistant Program Spotlights
After completing your physician assistant (PA) degree and earning your certification from the NCCPA, you may be interested in postgraduate or fellowship opportunities. According to the Association of Postgraduate Physician Assistant Programs (APPAP), there are more and more opportunities becoming available to physician assistants within specialty areas of medicine. Because PAs are often trained to have generalist knowledge, postgraduate learning and experiences can be great ways to prepare PAs to work on specialized teams if they desire.
Looking through this library of fellowship spotlights is a great way to become acquainted with some of the opportunities out there if you are interested in furthering your education – whether for the purpose of entering a specialty within the field or otherwise. All profiled opportunities are APPAP member programs, meaning they are formal programs that stick to a structured curriculum with both didactic and clinical components.
